One dead, seven taken to hospital after crash on 280
One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 280 Tuesday afternoon. The coroner says 41-year-old Joshua Andrew Harris of Sylacauga died in the crash. The Sylacauga fire chief says the wreck involving five vehicles happened just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Ft Williams St (Sylacauga-Fayetteville Hwy).

Birmingham’s beloved and iconic fireworks show will once again be lighting up the sky around Vulcan for the Fourth of July in the Magic City.
