Woman fatally struck by garbage truck
Press release from the Stillwater Police Department: Today, April 25, at 7:45 a.m., Stillwater Officers along with responders from the Stillwater Fire Department responded to the 900 block of Willard Street West on a report of a vehicle/pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult female that appeared to have been struck by a garbage truck. The truck is owned by Waste Management Company, who had several officials on site. The Minnesota State Patrol is currently assisting with accident reconstruction. No further information is available at this time as the cause of the accident remains under investigation. The deceased is not being identified at this time until next of kin has been notified.
