Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II, the 2023 Doak Award winner for best college running back, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence over the weekend.

Per News 9 , Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers said Gordon had a blood alcohol content of .11 and .10 when tested at the jail. An officer pulled him over once catching him speeding and driving recklessly, according to the report.

"The trooper who pulled Gordon over spotted a half-full bottle of vodka and a half-full bottle of tequila," according to News 9.

Last season, Gordon led the NCAA in rushing as a sophomore, gaining 1,732 yards on 285 carries (6.1 yards per attempt) and scoring 22 total touchdowns.

In addition to winning the Doak Award, Gordon was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and finished seventh in Heisman voting.

Earlier this month, ESPN NFL Draft analyst experts Matt Miller and Jordan Reid listed Gordon as a top-three running back prospect in 2025.

While nearly a year away, his arrest might cause his draft stock to plummet.

It's also unclear if he'll receive a suspension from Oklahoma State or if the matter will be handled internally.

"He's not a secret anymore, so he has to continue to raise the bar," Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy said about Gordon during spring practices.

He didn't live up to his high standards over the weekend, but Gordon, 20, is young enough that — by making the right choices going forward — this incident doesn't have to define him.
