Oklahoma State star could be one of top edge rushers in 2025 NFL Draft

In the NFL, there is always going to be a need for elite edge rushers, and in 2024 one of the very best pro prospects at the position will be in the Big 12 Conference.

Oklahoma State defensive end Collin Oliver was ranked as the top edge rusher prospect in the Big 12 by Bleacher Report in its NFL prospect rankings. Oliver is a three-time All-Big 12 selection and the 2021 Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.

Oliver, an Oklahoma City native, had 73 tackles, 6.0 sacks to go with a whopping 4 forced fumbles in 2023 as the Cowboys went 10-4 and finished No. 16 in the final AP Top 25 rankings. Oliver, 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, has 22.5 sacks over the last three seasons.

Oklahoma State hasn’t had a defensive end drafted in the first round since Kevin Williams went No. 9 overall to the Minnesota Vikings in the 2004 NFL Draft.
