Assembly Ball advances in TBT behind strong play from former Indiana basketball duo
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Yogi Ferrell, Juwan Morgan, Devonte Green, Race Thompson. Four former Indiana basketball standouts were back on the court, this time all together, as Assembly Ball — IU’s alumni team — took the court for its opening round game in TBT. In front of a very loud and packed Hinkle Fieldhouse, filled with Indiana fans, they did not disappoint, taking down The Cru 89-79. Assembly Ball entered as the one-seed in the Butler Region and had the talent to back that up. While there was a clear talent advantage for Indiana, it took a while for the rust to shake off for most — except Yogi Ferrell. The former Indiana basketball star point guard hit the first three of the game — en route to 18 first-half points and four 3s. Then it was Juwan Morgan who hit the next shot for Assembly Ball. Former Hoosiers combined to score or assist on the first 10 points and then the first 13 of 15 points of the game.

Big Ten primer: Indiana’s greatest football moment
The Indiana Hoosiers take pride in their basketball. They don’t have a rich and lengthy history in college football. They have won the Big Ten championship exactly twice in more than 120 years of competitive football. That long run of futility at least makes it easier to identify the program’s greatest moment. The 1945 Indiana team went unbeaten and tied once, finishing fourth in the final Associated Press Poll. However, the college football landscape created by World War II had something to do with that Indiana season, which was and is a historical outlier. Another reason that 1945 season isn’t discussed...

A look at IU football’s 2024 opponents: Week 10 — Michigan
With college football season starting to creep up, we’re running down Indiana’s schedule to preview all 12 opponents for 2024. Reigning national champions Michigan visit Bloomington in November ahead of Indiana’s second bye week. But this Wolverines team will look a lot different than the group that blew out Washington in the national title game. Jim Harbaugh left for the Los Angeles Chargers, and offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore was elevated to head coach. His team, despite some roster turnover, is still expected to be strong.

2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 42 Days (Quentin Clark)
Hometown: Dexter, Georgia (West Laurens High School) The state of Georgia is one of the better hotbeds for talent and the Indiana Hoosiers have certainly gotten some good players from the so-called “Peach State” (South Carolina dwarfs Georgia’s but I digress). Tom Allen and his staff landed a commitment from Clark in June of 2023 and the linebacker affirmed his commitment to Curt Cignetti in December, signing with the Hoosiers on December 20.

She remained in-state for college and joined the formidable Indiana University, representing the Redstorm for five years. She played some senior club ball after graduation, but it’s those teenage years, when her love for the sport took root, that drew some of the fondest memories. [lead photo c/o Stephanie Duncan]
