Main Street in Sparta Closed Due to Downed Wires
SPARTA, NJ- Main Street a/k/a County Road 517 in Sparta is closed at the intersection of Roamin Way near the Ogdensburg border. Police report tree limbs and several utility poles are down. According to police JCP&L arrived on the scene at 2 p.m. According to JCP&L they anticipate the repairs will be completed "by late tonight/tomorrow morning." DENVILLE, NJ - The Denville Arts Council is seeking writers for its 2024 Campfire Stories event on October 12. The Council says writers must have a connection to North Jersey. All works must have taken place in North Jersey, be rated PG, and can be no longer than five minutes in length. Writers have the option to submit a short play, personal essay/story, poem, or acoustic song.
