Illinois State Police investigates officer involved shooting in deep Southern Illinois
Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation has been requested by the US Marshals Service to investigate an officer involved shooting. State Police report on Tuesday night deputies with the Marshals Service and an officer with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources were attempting to serve an arrest warrant issued from Indiana on 40-year-old Floyd D. Caudill of Oakland City, Indiana. Caudill was tracked to the Lake Glendale Campground in Golconda. After verbal contact, Caudill refused to exit his tent. A shot was fired from within the tent and a deputy marshal returned fire. Caudill was subsequently located deceased in the tent.

DSD Renewables (DSD) has partnered with General Energy Corporation to deploy a 1.54-MW portfolio of rooftop solar projects across three park districts in Illinois. The installations, located in Elmhurst, Sycamore, and Urbana, are estimated to generate approximately 1.8 GWh of solar energy each year that can be used to power operations and reduce carbon footprint.
