LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Pump House has been a La Crosse staple for over 40 years. In 1977, a plucky group of artists, performers, and dreamers decided that the city needed a Regional Arts Center. They also thought the old City Water Works Building (which was serving as a storage unit at the time) would be the perfect place for an arts center. The city leased the building to our dreamers. The dreamers got to work renovating, and The Pump House Regional Arts Center would open in 1979.

LA CROSSE, Wis. — A bench warrant has been issued for an Iowa man accused of assault after he failed to appear in court. The warrant was issued for Wayne Sorenson, 68, of Decorah, following his absence from a scheduled court appearance on June 18. Woman accused of using veterinarian husband’s euthanasia drugs to poison him
MADISON, WI -- A 51-year-old Wisconsin woman has pleaded no contest to a charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety after she allegedly poisoned her husband multiple times in 2022. According to WLUC-6, prosecutors accused Amanda Chapin of poisoning the man at least three times from July 2022 and August 2022.
