Stoddard FD raises funds through annual Everyone Goes Home 5k

STODDARD, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Stoddard Volunteer Fire Department held their 2nd annual Everyone Goes Home 5k on Sunday.

The race/walk is put on by the Stoddard Bergen Fire Foundation with the purpose of raising funds to help supply the fire department with equipment.

"The fire department always has a limited budget, and so we do a lot of fundraising being a volunteer company and that helps us just offset some of the costs of getting new equipment," event organizer and Stoddard FD Lieutenant Angie Pfaff said.

Pfaff said there wasn't fundraising goal for the day, but they hope to raise enough to buy new helmets.

The race was followed by a family fun day with the help of the Stoddard Lions Club. This included a Chicken Que, local vendors, games, and a kickball tournament.
