Testing will cause closures and noise on Blatnik Bridge
Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) have announced that geotechnical load pile testing starting Wednesday, August 21 will lead to lane closures and noise on the Blatnik Bridge. The single-lane closures will be on the Wisconsin side near the ramps from US 53/I-535 to North 3rd Street and from North 3rd Street to I-535/US 53.

MADISON, Wis. -- U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, Governor Tony Evers, and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue announced Wednesday Wisconsin residents will have the option to file their taxes with the Internal Revenue Service for free in 2025.

Skies will be mainly clear tonight and with low humidity it will be another seasonably cool night. Lows will feel a little fall-like once again with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Outside of some patchy fog, skies will be mostly sunny in the morning... and the sunshine continues throughout the day. Highs are likely a few degrees warmer compared to Wednesday’s with upper 70s expected. The low humidity will continue.
Head of Wisconsin's Office of School Safety Touts Speak Up, Speak Out Hotline
(Bob Hague, Wisconsin Radio Network) The Head of Wisconsin’s Office of School Safety touts the effectiveness of Speak Up, Speak Out hotline to prevent school violence. According to Bob Hague with the Wisconsin Radio Network, making sure the coming school year is safe. Trish Kilpin from the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Office of School Safety said in Oconomowoc Monday one of the most effective tools schools have to curb violent activity is the state’s confidential Speak Up Speak Out Hotline. Kilpin said that her agency knows in most school shootings, a peer knew about an offender’s plan to attack.
Visitors Travel to Wisconsin’s Fox Cities Region for Work, Sports and Leisure
The Fox Cities’ many amenities are a major tourism draw. Wisconsin has experienced record-breaking tourism in recent years, and the Fox Cities region is no exception. According to the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), direct visitor spending hit $558 million in 2022, a 20% increase over the previous year.
Wisconsin task force on health care workers wants more money
