10-year-old Fort Wayne boy secures spot on 2024 Junior Olympics team
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 10-year-old Fort Wayne boy will compete in three track and field events in North Carolina, after securing a spot on the 2024 Junior Olympics team. Only 10 years old, Fort Wayne’s Gabe Surry has been competing in track and field for four years, with three Junior Olympics appearances.

GREENSBORO, N.C., June 15 — Luray High School rising senior Davey Johnson took 6th place in the National Elite division at the Adidas National meet in Greensboro, N.C. In the course of medaling in the prestigious meet among elite competition, Johnson also took another LHS record from his father, Paul Johnson, running 4:21.27 in the 1600 meters. Dr. Johnson, now an assistant superintendent for Page County Public Schools, set the previous record in 1984.

New non-conference matchup reportedly added to Indiana basketball schedule
