Keithville cyclist killed in hit-and-run involving two vehicles, family seeks community's help
A Keithville cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run incident involving two vehicles early Thursday morning. James Evans, 38, was struck by a truck and then dragged by another vehicle just after midnight on state Highway 789. The incident remains under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.
Bossier Crime Stoppers Seeking Three Theft Suspects
The Bossier City Police (Property Crimes Division) needs the Public’s assistance in identifying three individuals. On 06/22/2024, two unknown black females and an unknown black male who appears to be dressed as a female entered a store located in Bossier City and stole items from the store. If anyone knows the identity of the three individuals or any information on the case please contact Crime Stoppers or the Bossier City Police Department.
Collision on Buncombe Road leaves 3 injured
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Three people were transported to an area hospital after a wreck in Shreveport Saturday (July 20). Around 5 p.m., emergency units from Caddo Fire District 3 and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a wreck on Buncombe Road. A sedan had hit the back of a large flatbed truck, causing significant damage to the front end of the sedan.
Shreveport Man Arrested After Leading Police on High-Speed Chase
SHREVEPORT, LA- Man Arrested After Fleeing from SPD. Shreveport Police have arrested 21 year-old DeAndre Washington for numerous offenses following a traffic stop that began at Jewella Avenue and Hollywood Avenue. Washington refused to stop, leading officers on a chase that ended with his arrest in the 3900 block of Liaison Drive.
4 indicted on murder charges; another charged with rape
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — A Caddo grand jury recently indicted five people, including four on charges of second-degree murder. The panel formally charged 27-year-old Michael Keith McKnight with two counts of second-degree murder and 37-year-old Lederrick Dewayne Gant, of Shreveport, 40-year-old Shemika Draper Johnson and 44-year-old Keelon Bernard Nelson with one count each of second-degree murder.
