Storm Lake United to host annual Wood, Wine, and Blues event

STORM LAKE, Iowa (KCAU) — Storm Lake United is preparing to host its annual Wood, Wine, and Blues event.

The event is family-friendly and filled with art, music, and activities, according to a release. It will take place in Storm Lake’s Sunset Park from Aug. 16 to 18.

The highlight of the Wood, Wine, and Blues event is the showcase of chainsaw carvers from across the country. Attendees will have the chance to cast votes for their favorite carving in the Vetter Equipment People’s Choice Award.

In addition to the chainsaw carvers, Wood, Wine, and Blues will feature live music performances from Coyote Bill’s Band, the Stone Cutters Union, and Nick Schnebelen in the Sunset Park bandshell throughout the day.

There will be food trucks with a diverse selection of food and informational booths. The booths will provide insight into the community and local organizations, while Art in the Park will allow visitors to explore local art.

Kids’ activities include a balloon artist, inflatable axe throwing, and a trip to King’s Pointe Waterpark.
