STOW , Ohio (WJW) — An overnight fire severely damaged a home in Stow and sent two people to the hospital, according to officials.

The fire broke out at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at a house on Ridge Meadow Drive.

Stow Fire Chief Mark Stone told FOX 8 News that two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Stone, a 911 caller said the house next door was on fire.

“There was initially a report of a 12-year-old male trapped in the basement. While en route to the scene, dispatch reported the 12-year-old had been rescued,” said Stone in an email to FOX 8 News.
