Popular fan event D23 kicks off today in Anaheim, California, and plenty of announcements are expected for lovers of Marvel projects as the studio is hosting five panels across the weekend.
The three-day event happens every other year and sets out to give fans a look at every aspect of Disney, from the parts to animation, television and film, as well as looking back at the Walt Disney Archives.
As the schedule is jam-packed with events from across Disney properties, we've broken down the Marvel panels, when they're happening and what's expected to come out of them.
All Marvel Panels Happening at D23 2024
Music of Marvel Studios, Aug 9
11:00 - 12:00 (PST) (Premiere Stage)
Iconic composers Michael Giacchino, Christophe Beck, and Laura Karpman will be in attendance alongside songwriters Kristen Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez for a behind-the-scenes look at bringing Marvel Studios' scores and needle drops to life. Music executives Dave Jordan and Justine von Winterfeldt will also be in attendance.
Marvel Animation Sneak Peek, Aug 10
12:45 - 1:45 (PST) (Premiere Stage)
Disney+ has a host of projects upcoming from Marvel Animation, and fans in attendance at this panel will be joined by special guests as they offer a first sneak preview of highly anticipated series, including Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man , Eyes of Wakanda , as well as future seasons of fan-favorites What If…? , X-Men '97 , and more.
Marvel Comics: Celebrating 50 Years of Wolverine, Aug 10
2:30 - 3:30 (PST) (Archives Stage)
Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and writer Jason Aaron will be in attendance for this one as they look back at 50 years of Wolverine.
They'll be exploring Wolverine's legacy, including teasing what's next in his journey.
Designing the MCU: Marvel Studios' Visual Development, Aug 11
10:00 - 11:00 (PST) (Backlot Stage)
The visual development artists over at Marvel Studios will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at what they do, how it manifests on screen and all the hard work that goes into designing the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Creating Marvel Studios & ILM Immersive's What If…? — An Immersive Story, Aug 11

The creators behind What If...? – An Immersive Story show fans how they've brought the first-ever interactive Disney+ Original story to life on Apple Vision Pro.
D23 says it's:
A first-of-its-kind collaboration between Marvel Studios and ILM Immersive, learn about how this story puts you in the center of an interactive story that's connected to the What If…? series.
How To Watch 2024 Marvel D23 Panels
You'll have to be in person to be part of the D23 action, unfortunately. Disney has no plans to stream the panels for those not in Anaheim, California for the event.
However, news from the panels will likely be dropping on social media across the weekend, so you'll be able to keep up to date that way.
