Check out the first Alien Earth teaser from Fargo’s Noah Hawley

Noah Hawley and FX released the first Alien Earth teaser trailer ahead of the sci-fi series’ 2025 release, after showing it exclusively during Alien Romulus screenings. “Teaser” is on point, since the trailer only runs for 15 seconds, but FX also published Alien Earth’s logline, which gives a little bit more info about what to expect.

The teaser starts with a typical, dramatic shot of the sun peeking above the Earth’s outline, almost like Universal’s old logo intro, and then it shimmers and dances. The vision of Earth is just a reflection on the top of a Xenomorph’s unusually wet, shiny – or both – head. Why is the Xenomorph’s head wet? Who can say, but, given the prospect of several billion ready-made meals, it’s probably easy to guess why their mouth is dripping with liquid as it gazes on the planetary lunchbox below.

The Alien Earth logline gives little away, but says that after a strange space vessel crashes into Earth, a young woman and a team of unlikely heroes band together to save the planet from its biggest threat (thanks, Deadline ). That young woman is Sydney Chandler (Sugar, Pistol). Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, David Rysdahl, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, and Babou Ceesay also join the cast, though FX didn’t say what their roles are.

Whatever dangers (aliens – it’s aliens) lie in store for the cast, don’t expect a quick and tidy ending. FX said it’s planning to make Alien Earth an ongoing series.
