Warning: The Bachelorette Season 21 spoilers ahead. He didn’t receive her final rose, but could Jenn and Marcus be back together after The Bachelorette Season 21 finale? There’s a chance for a second shot at love.
Her winner was Devin Strader , a a 28-year-old Freight Company Owner from Rosenberg, Texas, who Jenn gave her final rose to in The Bachelorette Season 21 finale and got engaged to. But where does that leave Marcus?
Are Jenn and Marcus back together after The Bachelorette Season 21?
As of writing, Jenn and Marcus aren’t back together after The Bachelorette Season 21 finale, however, there is the possibility for them to reunite in the real world. Reality Steve reported on the day The Bachelorette Season 21 finale aired that Jenn and her winner, Devin, had broken up and ended their engagement.
Reality Steve also confirmed that Devin was the one who broke up with Jenn and that their split happened sometime between mid-August and September 2024. This meant that Jenn and Devin were together for around three months after The Bachelorette Season 21 finale finished filming on May 16, 2024.
“The rumors that have been circulating for a couple weeks now are true. Devin has ended the engagement and broken up with Jenn,” Reality Steve wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “I do not know the circumstances surrounding it in terms of when it happened or the reasoning behind it. Guess we will find that out tonight. Curious to see the reasoning for the breakup since Devin has love bombed Jenn ever since hometowns and now couldn’t even make it to the ATFR with her still in a relationship. Should be an interesting night.”
Though there’s no information that Jenn and Marcus are back together after The Bachelorette Season 21 finale (they don’t follow each other, at the time of writing), the chances don’t look good. A source told Life & Style magazine on September 2, 2024 that Marcus’ ex-girlfriends “reached out and got in contact” with Jenn’s brother, James tran, during filming and warned him to not let his sister pick Marcus as her winner. “[Marcus’ exes] were worried for Jenn,” the source said. “James was told that Marcus is a ‘toxic, narcissistic, pathological liar.’”
Another of Marcus’ ex-girlfriends also told Life & Style magazine that Marcus told them prior to going on The Bachelorette Season 21 that he wasn’t ready for marriage.“Before he left, he proclaimed, ‘I don’t date. I’m not the man I want to be,’ and said he is not ready for anything serious,” the insider said. “He made excuses as to why, such as working on his career, saving money, etc. And then he went right on the show! There’s no way he is there to get married. If he wasn’t ready a week before filming, what would make him ready now?”
Another source also called Marcus a “toxic boyfriend” and accused him of cheating on girlfriends in the past. “He usually goes on dating apps and Snapchat while in a relationship,” the insider said. “Multiple of his exes have ended their relationships with him after finding out.”

According to his Linkedin , Marcus is the founder of Falkor Technologies, an IT services company, which launched in September 2023. In addition to his current job, Marcus works as a Data Engineer for Amentum,a government and commercial services contractor, and its United States Army Special Operations Command Special Access Program. Marcus was in the United States Army for eight years. He started as a Rifleman from 2011 to 2014. He was a Rifle Team Leader from 2014 to 2018 followed by a Rifle Squad Leader from 2016 to 2017. He was a Headquarters Platoon Sergeant from 2017 to 2018 followed by his final role as a Battalion Civilian Affairs Operations Sergeant from 2018 to 2019.
After retiring from the army, Marcus worked at Harvard University’s Undergraduate Veterans Organization as the Director of Membership Engagement from 2022 to 2023. He started as a member of the organization in 2021. Marcus graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a degree in International Studies (with specializations in Foreign Policy, Diplomacy, and Peace and Security). He’s also expected to graduate from Harvard University with a degree in Computer Science in 2025.
