District Attorney Hoovler Announces Life Without Parole Sentence in Wallkill Murder for Hire Cas
Enoch Lowe Previously Convicted of Murder in the First Degree and Related Crimes for Hiring Another Man to Kill his Neighbor. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that on Thursday, July 18, 2024, Enoch Lowe, age 25, of Wallkill, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole following his conviction after a jury trial in the Orange County Court of all charges against him, including the crimes of Murder in the First Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Conspiracy in the Second Degree. Additionally, the Court imposed a sentence of one and one third (1 and 1/3) to four (4) years in prison on the Tampering with Physical Evidence charge and ordered that sentence to run consecutive to the sentence imposed on the Murder charge, thus constituting the maximum sentence permitted by law.

Nassau County Police arrested a Brooklyn man for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm during a traffic stop on Friday, July 19, at 9:11 pm in Woodbury. According to detectives, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) Officers while on routine patrol observed a gray 2011 Mercedes-Benz traveling northbound on Woodbury Road at a high rate of speed.
