    16-year-old killed in Suitland shooting identified

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) released the name of the 16-year-old killed in a shooting in Suitland on Thursday evening.

    PGPD responded to the 7400 block of Towne Park Road at around 6:40 p.m. for a shooting.

    There, officers found two men who had been shot. The teen died at the scene, with the second individual- a man, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

    The 16-year-old was identified as Juan Roach of Suitland.

    Investigators said in a press release on Friday that they believe several people were armed leading up to the shooting and that multiple people fired weapons.

    PGPD said that officers recovered one firearm outside in a courtyard area.
