Community Rallies Around Family After Tragic Housefire
Last Friday, around 55 firefighters responded to a house fire in the 11400 block of Neelsville Church Road in Germantown. An 80-year-old man was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, and a family of six has been displaced. Kentlands Bar Crawl Raises More Than $1700 For Charity
The Kentlands Bar Crawl, an event that started over 20 years ago and has grown to include more than 150 people this year, has raised $1720 for Feed the Fridge. Kristin Johnston, one of the newer organizers of the event who joined original organizers Sue Kravitz and Debbie Freedman last year, tells us that this year’s event raise $860 that was matched by Feed the Fridge founder Mark and Amy Bucher for a total of $1720 raised.
