Lake Shelbyville Firework Show Viewing Information and More
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is set to host a grand fireworks display at Lake Shelbyville this Fourth of July. Fireworks will be launched at dusk from Ramp Point in the Dam West Recreation Area. Prime viewing spots include the Dam West and Dam East Recreation Areas, the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center, parts of the road across the dam, and the Dam West Overlook.
MTZ village board tables appointment to Mt. Zion Park Foundation
The Mt. Zion Village Board met on June 17 tabled an action for a mayoral appointment and confirmation of Julie Miller, Village Administrator to the Mt. Zion Park Foundation. During the public forum, Chris Buckley urged the board to table the action. The reasoning being that Buckley wanted the board to think about how they could structure the foundation and also include a member from the Youth Baseball and Softball Boards.
