Local companies are banding together to re-open the Seawall Road, which was heavily damaged this past winter. Beginning on Monday, July 22nd, John Goodwin Jr. Construction, Doug Gott and Sons, BFP Trucking, Rings Paving, GT Outhouses and Northeast Paving will be banding together to clear and rebuild the Seawall Road. Lawrence Hollins has been appointed as the new publisher of Down East magazine, effective immediately. “This appointment marks a significant step forward for the magazine, promising continued excellence and innovation in serving our readers and customers,” said Down East, in a July 10, 2024 news release. “Lawrence joined Down East in 2007 as a member of the advertising staff and quickly demonstrated exceptional leadership, resulting in his promotion to advertising director. His ascent continued as he took on the role of director of business development in 2019. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed associate publisher, a position he has filled admirably.”
