Nine local contestants entered First Baptist Church-Sulphur Springs’3rd annual 'America's Got Talent' contest on Aug.14. Two singers rose to the top in the sing-off. Raythan Vaneric Hodges placed first with the powerful 'All of Me,” made famous by John Legend. Brandon Bilyeau ran a close second with the song and a dance to 'Big Time' by Ruby Wood. Prizes were gift cards and bragging rights. The three presiding judges included Johnny Wells, Charlotte Henderson and Danny Cooksey. The win was tearful, as Raythan Hodges (center) stands next to fellow competitor and sister, Karen May Hodges, while (right) Judge Johnny Wells steps up with congratulations.
