If the crowds at this year’s Wildcat Tennis Camp are any indication of what is to come, the future of Wildcat Tennis is in good hands. A large attendance number at camp helped reinforce Sulphur Springs’ interest in the sport.
The annual tennis camp, held May 29 and 30 at the Sulphur Springs High School tennis courts, drew 124 campers, setting a new attendance record.
During the camp, campers learned some of the fundamentals of tennis, including footwork, serving, returning the ball, and swinging techniques.
The camp was conducted by Sulphur Springs head tennis coach Tony Martinez.
