North Hopkins ISD will be getting some new cafeteria equipment this summer, thanks to a Texas Department of Agriculture grant.

NHISD was awarded a $55,000 Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure grant, thanks to cafeteria manager Laurie Kerby, who completed the application. The grant program is a cooperative partnership between the United States Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service and TDA.

NHISD will use the money to purchase new cafeteria equipment, which includes two ovens, a tilt skillet, and a new standalone salad/fruit and vege- table bar.

    Other information

Trustees also approved the 2024-2025 compensation plan, which includes pay increases for all 100 district employees, according to Superintendent Brian Lowe. No further details were available.

NHISD is currently accepting applications for an assistant principal/campus behavior coordinator. For more information, visit https://www.northhopkins. net/118591_2.
