Foley Moves Forward With Entertainment District
The entertainment district proposed for Foley could bring more business and activity to downtown without leading to problems with disruptive behavior. The Foley City Council approved a first reading of an ordinance to establish an entertainment district in the downtown area west of Alabama 59. The ordinance is scheduled for a final vote in August.

Columbia Southern University (CSU) has appointed JoAnne Bass as its new strategic advisor for government, military, and community relations. She served as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of more than 600,000 Total Force Airmen.
