Police working to identify body found near Grand River in Lansing
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing police have found a body and are now working to identify the person and determine the cause of death Wednesday. Lansing police told News 10 that the body was found on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the South Cedar Street and I-496 interchange near the Grand River; however, the body was not in the river at the time of discovery.

DETROIT (AP) — The Michigan Supreme Court overruled the Legislature on Wednesday, reinstating major changes to the state's minimum wage and paid sick leave laws, a victory for low-wage workers.In a 4-3 decision, the court said Republican lawmakers violated the state constitution.The laws were the result of a 2018 petition drive that collected more than 280,000 signatures.The Legislature had two options: put the proposed laws on the ballot for voters to decide or simply adopt them.
