(CBS DETROIT) - Residents in Washtenaw County's Sylvan Township are being told not to drink the water because of an incident that happened at the water treatment plant, officials said. In a social media post shared Monday, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office said that a "do not drink water advisory" has been issued for residents who receive their municipal water supply from the Sylvan Township Water Treatment Plant. WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI -- A woman found dead in rural Washtenaw County has been identified as a tourist from Brazil. Suzan Christian Barbosa Ferreira, 42, was found dead Sunday, June 30, by passersby in the 7700 block of Earhart Road in Northfield Township. She had been traveling in parts of North Carolina and Michigan, according to her sister Renata Santana, 45.

Racing motorcycle crash in Livingston County kills 2
BRIGHTON, Mich. – A motorcycle crash in Brighton killed a 20-year-old from South Lyon and a 64-year-old from Fenton. The crash happened Sunday, July 7, at about 6:40 p.m. According to authorities, a Michigan State Police trooper saw two speeding motorcycles that appeared to be racing on Old US-23, just north of Grand River Avenue. The Manchester Community Fair Queen contestants have been announced. The Fair Parade route has also been established, which will kick off the fair on Tuesday, August 6, at 6:30pm. The route has been reversed and more information will be available soon. In addition, there will be prize money awarded for floats, golf carts, and bikes that are decorated with the parade theme.

Potter Park Zoo to receive $10 million from state to update feline and primate building
Lansing’s Potter Park Zoo plans to upgrade its feline and primate building. That’s after the zoo was allocated $10 million in funding from the state budget. The Potter Park Zoo opened in 1920. The Feline/Primate House was built a decade later. One of the last major renovations of the building was in 1989.

Liebherr-Aerospace Saline is expanding its industrial campus in Michigan (U.S.A.) and recently celebrated the ground breaking with invited guests, the management and over 300 employees. With the new building, the company will be able to meet the growing demand for MRO services covering Liebherr products on a wide variety of commercial aircraft and business jets. This marks the fifth expansion for Liebherr-Aerospace Saline since 1993. Spanning 33,000 ft² (3,065 m²), the new expansion will adjoin the existing heat transfer facility, which commenced operations in 2016.
