Miller Found Dead Following Amherst Standoff
AMHERST, WI (WSAU) — The subject of a lengthy standoff that led to a shelter-in-place order in Amherst has been found dead. Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas says 32-year-old Jeffery Miller was deceased inside the Amherst home where he had been barricaded for nearly 24 hours. Miller had been wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Board OKs membership with School District Consortium
The Verona Area School District (VASD) Board of Education voted to join the Greater Dane County School District Consortium (GDCSDC) on Monday, July 22.
