Selinsgrove, Pa. — A woman was cited Monday for leaving a dog in a hot vehicle for over an hour.

Trp. Joseph Civello of state police at Selinsgrove says Dontay Shalease M. Wiley, 30, of Sunbury, was parking at a shopping center at 980 N. Susquehanna Trail in Monroe Township when someone discovered the dog inside her vehicle shortly before 5:30 p.m. The temperature outside was 90 degrees, and the temperature inside the vehicle was more than 100 degrees that day, according to Civello.

Police cited Wiley for neglect of animal through the office of District Judge Scott A. Zeigler.
