Suspect rips business off for $13,000
Selinsgrove, Pa. — An unknown suspect used a credit card with insufficient funds to pay for $13,000 of building products, police say. Around June 26, the suspect called Kohl Building Products in Penn Township and ordered building products including roof shingles, according to Trp. Derek Gill of state police at Selinsgrove. The sales representative took the order over the phone along with a credit card number provided by the suspect. The suspect then promptly went to the business to pick up the products. A short time later, representatives at the business found that the credit card transaction was denied for insufficient funds. Anyone with information may contact PSP Selinsgrove at 570-374-8145.

Federal Authorities Investigates Schuylkill County Helicopter Crash
HEGINS – WHTM is reporting… Federal authorities are investigating a helicopter crash in Schuylkill County. First responders were called to Wood Lane in Hegins Township just north of the village of Hegins around 1 p.m. for a helicopter down. The Federal Aviation Administration said a helicopter struck a power line and hit a cornfield.
Alleged Potato Thief Caught at Supermarket
Muncy, Pa. — A man allegedly wrote on a pharmacy window, stole a hanging plant, and took a sack of potatoes from a local super market. Thomas Dwight Howe, 34, of Elizabethtown, arrived at the Weis Market in Muncy at the end of May holding a Redd’s Wicked alcoholic beverage, according to Trooper Taylor Arnold. Howe then left his beverage on ledge at the building’s exterior before entering the store.
