Ryan Reynolds wants Wesley Snipes to get his own “ Logan -like” Blade 4 send-off movie.

Snipes starred as Blade in three movies based on the Marvel character of the same name: 1998’s Blade, 2002’s Blade II , and 2004’s Blade: Trinity .

With Snipes having now recently reprised his role in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Reynolds now wants to see the iconic actor get one more solo film from Marvel Studios .

“There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market,” Reynolds wrote on X . “He’s Marvel Daddy. Please retweet for a Logan-like send off.”

Is Marvel making a Blade 4 movie?

Marvel is developing another Blade movie at this time; however, it will star Mahershala Ali rather than Snipes. With the movie having been originally announced in 2019, Ali has since made a voice cameo at the end of 2021’s Eternals.

Despite this, the MCU Blade movie has gone through a number of pre-production issues. No director is currently attached to the project, as Yann Demange left the film in June 2024.

Feige did recently confirm to ComingSoon , however, that the Ali-led Blade movie is being developed with an R-rating . “I will say we’ve been working on a Blade movie for very long and aren’t going to start that movie until we’ve got it exactly right,” Feige said. “But those movies were R-rated and it does seem like that is part of what is inherent about the Blade character. Yeah. So that’s an R-rated movie we’re developing as well. So, where appropriate, I think we’ll certainly we’ll certainly do that.”

The MCU Blade movie is currently expected to be released on November 7, 2025. Snipes’ three Blade movies are all available to rent or purchase on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and other streaming outlets.
