Body Pulled from D&R Canal State Park in Lawrence Township
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–The New Jersey State Park Police report that police, Lawrence Township Fire Department, EMS and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team recovered a body from an area of the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Lawrence Township, Mercer County. A medical examiner responded to the scene. No further details are available at this time. The body was discovered around 9:15 a.m. as reported from an intial call to Lawrence Police Department and was located 1/2 mile north of Whitehead Road.

LONGPORT – Members of the Longport Beach Patrol gladly agreed to let Longport’s youngest citizens take the lead during the July 3 Board of Commissioners meeting. Mayor Nicholas Russo was wearing three different beach tags designed by children who live in Longport. That’s one more than the two categories presented to budding artists in the annual beach tag design contest. Normally the children design seasonal and senior citizen beach tags, but this year there was one extra design that couldn’t be passed over.

However, in recent years, the business has faced a steady decline. The Harmons failed to meet their financial obligations and pay for accumulating debt in a timely manner. Brick Summerfest Begins July 4 With Concert, Fireworks; Shuttle Buses Will Be Running
Brick’s annual Summerfest celebration begins on Thursday – Independence Day in 2024 – with plenty of food, friends, and fireworks to enjoy. Summerfest begins at 6:30 p.m. at Windward Beach Park off Princeton Avenue, with a performance by Super Trans Am, which performs pop and classic rock hits from the 1970s as a “tribute to the decade.” The concert, as usual, is followed by fireworks which can be seen from the park and beach, as well as from boats in the Metedeconk River.
