Sinkhole in Surprise closes road for the weekend
SURPRISE, Ariz. — A waterline break caused a sinkhole in Surprise near Bell Road and the 303 Friday night. Work crews were called to the area around 6:30 p.m. and found the roadway was flooded due to the line break, Sergeant Rick Hernandez with the Surprise Police Department said.

Glendale residents with disabilities can use RideChoice
Glendale residents with disabilities can use the Valley Metro RideChoice pilot program. It offers Uber, taxicabs and other vehicles with wheelchair accessibility for a $3 one-way trip, up to eight miles, with additional miles costing $2 per mile. People with Americans with Disabilities Act certification can utilize this service outside the city limits taking 20 to 50 trips or traveling 400 miles every month. RideChoice passengers can pay fares with cash, checking accounts, eWallet or credit and debit cards. The service will operate through June 30, 2025, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year including holidays.
