The city of Surprise announced the imminent completion of Phase One of the Surprise Community Park playground renovations, and families will be back to the upgraded facilities in early July.

Phase One of the renovation project focused on enhancing infrastructure and amenities of the playground area, ensuring a more enjoyable and safer experience for all visitors.

Looking ahead, Phase Two starts the week of Monday, July 8. This part of the project will introduce additional safety measures aimed at further enhancing the park experience.

Key features of Phase Two include a landscaped barrier that will be installed between the playground and the parking lot, enhancing safety and aesthetics.

Additionally, a new sidewalk will stretch alongside the pickleball courts, connecting to the Dreamcatcher Park entrance. This extension improves accessibility and connectivity within the park grounds.

A newly added pathway from the south parking lot will provide direct access to the pickleball courts.
