Sussex man faces 10th home improvement fraud charge
Ocean View Police Department officers arrested Jeremy Bowen, 45, of Ocean View on charges of Home Improvement Fraud. Bowen was taken into custody on July 2. According to Police, Bowen contracted with a local homeowner to install a fence. The homeowner paid Bowen $3,550 upfront for the project. However, Bowen never showed up to perform the work.

UUSD awards grants to two local nonprofits
The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware recently awarded $2,500 grants to two local nonprofit organizations serving Sussex County. Recipients for 2024 are the Sussex Preservation Coalition and Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach. Grants were made possible by the Roy Parks Memorial Social Justice Fund, which is administered by UUSD.
