The Oregon Health Authority said Thursday, Aug. 15, that the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services had OK’d the expansion of a program within the Oregon Department of Human Services. That means Oregon can launch a new version of Oregon Project Independence supported by Medicaid funds. ...
‘I feel air under my wings;’ Kobe Savage is at home in Oregon Ducks secondary
For the second year in a row, the Oregon Ducks went to the transfer portal in order to try and find someone at the safety position who can provide an extensive impact in the secondary. Last year it was Fresno State’s Evan Williams, who went on to lead the team in tackles before getting drafted by the Green Bay Packers. This year, it’s Kansas State’s Kobe Savage who is being tabbed as the newcomer tasked with lifting up the secondary. The expectations are certainly high for the fifth-year senior. After starting his career at the junior college level, Savage racked up 115...
Oregon to host a first-round playoff game in latest CBS projection
It’s hard to imagine a bigger game at Autzen Stadium this season than when No. 2 Ohio State comes to town to play No. 3 Oregon on Oct. 12. That’s assuming those rankings hold in a month into the season. But according to CBS Sports writer Jerry Palm, an even bigger matchup is projected for Autzen. Palm has projected the Ducks will be seeded No. 6 in the expanded playoff format and will host 11-seed Kansas State with the winner playing No. 3 Utah in the quarterfinals at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Oregon last played the Wildcats in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl....
Oregon is well represented in ESPN’s Top 100 players for 2024
ESPN came out with their Top 100 players for the 2024 college football season and predictably, a few Oregon Ducks appeared on the list. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel receiver Tez Johnson and corner Jabbar Muhammad are all on the list. In fact, the two offensive players for the Ducks cracked the Top 20 as Gabriel is No. 16 and Johnson is No. 18. Last season, Gabriel was No. 28 and Johnson wasn’t even ranked. Muhammad, when he was with Washington, was also not ranked in 2023. Gabriel comes into the Oregon program with huge expectations and is currently a leading Heisman candidate. He’s...

Dan Lanning is entering his third season as Oregon’s football coach. He’s got a 22-5 record and a positive trajectory. But the stakes have never felt higher, particularly for a program that aspires to win a national championship in its first Big Ten season. I’ve talked frequently with...

DT Derrick Harmon comments on transition from MSU to Oregon
“It’s different up here.” That’s what former Michigan State defensive tackle Derrick Harmon had to say about his transition from the Spartans to Oregon when he recently caught up with the media. Harmon transferred to Oregon during the spring transfer portal window, a move that gained national attention because Harmon ranked as one of the top transfers in that window. Harmon also told reporters he will be playing fewer snaps per game due to the increased depth at Oregon. He expects to play 40 to 45 snaps per game compared to nearly 80 per game while with the Spartans. Michigan State will face Harmon and the Ducks this season in a Big Ten matchup on Oct. 4.
