Tuscaloosa’s DCH to End 28-Room Hotel Program for Patients & Loved Ones
Tuscaloosa's DCH Regional Medical Center will soon end a program that provides patients and loved ones with an affordable place to stay before or during hospitalization. In a memo published earlier this month, hospital administrators alerted staff that DCH will end its Guest Room Program on September 1st and begin repurposing the 28 rooms dedicated to it.

Earthquake detected in northeast Alabama; no damage reported
A small earthquake occurred in northeast Alabama late Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed. The quake happened at 11:35 p.m. Friday. Its epicenter was about two and a half miles below the surface, less than half a mile north-northeast of the town of Section in Jackson County and about 6.7 miles south-southeast of Scottsboro.
