Access to Popular Fishing Site Temporarily Closed in New York
It may be a little harder for anglers to get to one of their favorite fishing spots in New York. Access is temporarily closed for the next few weeks. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) closed off the Alma Pond Public Fishing Access Site in Allegany County. The main parking area, car-top hand launch, and path off County Route 38 are all shut down to make site improvements.

A popular Hornell area spot for food and drinks is poised to reopen under new management and with a community-oriented vision. Racalto's restaurant will begin welcoming customers for dinner starting May 23 at 7465 Seneca Road, the former location of Club 57 and the short-lived Balloons East, which closed abruptly last August.
