Congratulations to last week's athlete of the week winner: Lily Cobb of Arnold. Last week marked the end of the athlete of the week polls for this school year and we thank everyone who participated and voted each week. The polls will return in the fall and we hope everyone enjoys the much-needed vacation in the sun this summer.
South Walton’s falls in state championship
FORT MYERS, Fla. (WMBB) – The South Walton baseball team’s historic season came to an end Wednesday night, falling 4-1 in the Class 4A State Finals to top-ranked Cardinal Gibbons. The Seahawks fell to 21-11 on the season. They finished as district champs, region champs, and with their program’s first state finals appearance.
Arnold ace Bre Clark commits to Southeastern Louisiana University
On Monday morning, Arnold star pitcher Bre Clark went to her social media to announce her commitment to play softball at Southeastern Louisiana University. "It has been a very long journey and I have wanted this since I was a little girl," Clark said. "We have traveled a lot over the summer and I had to decide whether I wanted to stay at home or go away."

Arnold baseball's historic season ends after tough break in regional final
PANAMA CITY BEACH — Late inning call fuels South Walton offense in 6-1 victory over Arnold in the Class 4A Region 2 championship game. Despite the loss, this season has been historic for the Marlins as they reached the region final for the first time in program history and won 23 games the most in program history.
