IVCC EMS Graduates Receive Challenge Coins to Foster Unity and Support Mental Health
Nick Fish, an instructor at Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC), has started a new tradition for his Emergency Medical Services (EMS) trainees. Upon completing their final clinical exam this spring, each graduate received a Challenge Coin. This coin, a symbol of identity and unity, has origins in the military and is now used by various groups to honor service and teamwork.
IVCC Board of Trustees May Update: New Robotic Welding System and Key Personnel Changes
The Board of Trustees at Illinois Valley Community College made key decisions in their May meeting. They approved a $100,400 purchase of a robotic welding system for the college's welding program, funded by a grant from Aidex Corp. of Rossville, Indiana. This system is expected to improve the program's technical training.
