Atascadero’s summer youth kickball league registration open
– The City of Atascadero is organizing a Summer Youth Kickball League running from June 25 through July 30. The league will feature two divisions based on grade levels. The 3rd through 5th-grade division will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m., while the 6th through 8th-grade division will meet on the same days from 6 to 7 p.m.

Templeton High School Athletes of the Week
Comment: I nominate these three for athletes of the week. They have worked incredibly hard throughout the season to make big improvements in their performance. Frannie ran a 4:58.78 in the 1600 (3rd place overall), Josh ran an 8:55.30 in the 3200 (1st place overall) and Keani a 2:13.30 in the 800 (1st place overall), securing all three of these Templeton athletes a place at the 104th CIF State meet this weekend! – Templeton High School Coach Rosalie Smith.

“The Bearcats clinched an Ocean League Championship on Thursday, May 9 defeating Nipomo in a 6-1 victory. Marcus Garcia was the starting pitcher going 6 innings, with only one run scored, and striking out 8 batters. Senior, Kade Mitchell, A Lion’s Club Award Winner, was 3-3 leading the offense.” — Coach Chal Fanning.
