Teen driver who was high during fatal hit-and-run now being charged as adult, cops say
A man who was 17-years-old at the time of a fatal hit-and-run earlier this year is now being charged as an adult after authorities said he was high at the time of the crash. Alexander L. Vargas, 18, of Bogota, was waived into adult court last Wednesday, facing charges of aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death and endangering an injured victim, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The Bergenfield police announced Monday night that the missing 17-year-old girl had been found. "The juvenile female has been located! Thank you all for your concern and assistance in this matter," Bergenfield police stated in an updated Facebook post.
