ROCHESTER — Spaulding High School announces the top 10 graduates in its Class of 2024. The graduates are listed below in alphabetical order, as the determination of valedictorian and salutatorian, based on grades for the entire four years of high school, will be announced at graduation on June 7.

Sanford High School music director honored as outstanding new educator
SANFORD — Sanford High School Music Director Hailey Francoeur was recently named the 2023-2024 Maine Music Educators Association Outstanding New Music Educator of the Year. The award recognizes Francoeur’s work in revitalizing and expanding the school’s instrumental music offerings over the past three years. Under her leadership, the program has grown in student participation and performance opportunities.
FedPoint announces recipients of Annual FedPoint Nursing Scholarship during National Nurses Week
PORTSMOUTH — FedPoint, a benefits marketplace operator and third-party administrator, announce the recipients of the 2024 FedPoint Nursing Scholarship. The four recipients, chosen from a field of more than 150 applicants, are all graduating high school students who will enter an accredited nursing program this fall. Each recipient was awarded $5,000.
Caps off to the future: YCCC’s Class of 2024 celebrates commencement
Wells, Maine — York County Community College celebrated 236 graduates at its 29th annual commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17, at the Sanford Center for Performing Arts. The center was filled with joy and excitement as the Class of 2024 were awarded over 300 associate degrees and certificates. Graduates were supported by friends, family, Maine Community College System leadership and Board of Trustees, the YCCC Foundation, local representatives, plus local business and industry partners.
