MEXICO, Maine — State police are investigating after a woman was found dead following a fire at a home in the town of Mexico on Thursday. It happened around 7 a.m. at 5 Tucker Street, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Friday in a press release.

WINDSOR, Maine — A woman from Augusta is facing several charges stemming from an alleged assault of a business owner Thursday evening in Windsor. The Maine State Police Central Field Troop responded to a report of an "out-of-control" woman who reportedly assaulted a business owner and fled at about 6 p.m. Thursday at 142 Augusta Rockland Road in Windsor, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a news release.
