Upcoming Resurfacing on U.S. 75 in Wilson County to Affect Local Traffic
Friday, May 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin work on a U.S. 75 resurfacing project in Wilson County. The 10-mile project area starts 4 miles north of Altoona and continues north to end at the Wilson-Woodson county line. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. Chanute Residents to See Increase in Monthly Electric Meter Charges
Because of rising costs of electric meters, transformers and labor, Chanute city commissioners approved an increase for the monthly meter/customer charge, starting this upcoming billing cycle. It is now $10 per month for those within the corporate limits of the city and $15 per month to those outside the corporate limits.
