Man misses hearing, believed to be in prison
EAU CLAIRE — A man facing a significant list of charges in Eau Claire County didn’t appear for a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, but authorities think there’s a good reason for it. Anthony Minneker, 44, is charged with separate counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, THC and prescription drugs, improper possession of a credit card scanning device to transfer information, identity theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer and possession of an illegally obtained prescription. ...
Homicide investigation ongoing
EAU CLAIRE — Police are investigating a homicide from last week. Eau Claire police responded to the 400 block of Gilbert Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a welfare check. They found the body of Michelle Jenkins, 56. She had been shot multiple times. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, including a full autopsy. They are interviewing people who knew Jenkins, but have not announced any suspects in the case. Anyone who thinks they may have information about the case should contact the Eau Claire Police Department at 715-839-4972. CF man charged with child enticement of two 10-year-olds
CHIPPEWA FALLS — A Chippewa Falls man accused of approaching two children, asking them to play with each other and then tried to lure them to a different area to play with them, has been charged. Michael C. Buttke, 32, 8986 Highway 124, was charged Thursday in Chippewa County Court with two counts of child enticement-sexual contact, three counts of disorderly conduct, and one count of bail jumping.
