County board agrees to revamp job requirements to fill Facilities Management position
County Administrator Brett Skyles says the Facilities Management position has been open for a long enough period of time. He recommended the board consider revamping the qualifications and requirements for the position. They discussed raising the grade-level pay of the position and potentially reducing the education requirement from a Bachelor’s Degree, to an Associate’s, with consideration for experience as well. Grand Rapids Area Freethinkers (GRAF) will hold regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8th, at 5:30 p.m. The location is the Itasca Unitarian Fellowship Center, 3906 Highway 169 (next to Beier’s Greenhouse). This will be a potluck event, so we ask everyone to bring their preferred beverage and a dish, salad, dessert or other edible to share with the group. The topic will be based on the book, Comstock: The Man Who Hated Women, by Amy Sohn. We will watch her interview on the program, Freethought Matters. GRAF is dedicated to building a welcoming non-religious community that actively promotes secular values through educational programs, social activities, and participation in public affairs.
