Creston Holds Off Atlantic in Class 3A District #6 Football Game
(Creston) Creston running back Weston Trapp rushed for 346 yards and scored four touchdowns, and the Panthers held off Atlantic in the waning moments of the fourth quarter to win 30-28 in a Class 3A District #6 football game at Creston on Friday night. The game featured numerous ebbs and flows, with four lead changes and one tie.
Gordon Leads the Bulldogs Into Corning to Battle Timberwolves
(Oakland, IA) — Riverside looks for a bounce back after last week’s loss to AC/GC tonight as they visit Southwest Valley. The Bulldogs fell 50-42 to the Chargers in an exciting game. Jaxon Gordon ran for 200 yards and 2 TD plus returned a kickoff 82 yards and another score but he was denied any yards on a 3rd and 1 and a 4th and 1 with under a minute to go to end their chances at an upset. Riverside Head Coach Darrell Frain is proud of the way his team played.
