INDIANAPOLIS — Beech Grove police and IMPD are investigating a shooting that killed an 18-year-old woman on Indy's southeast side Sunday night. Just after 9 p.m. Sept. 29, officers responded to the 5900 block of Riva Ridge Drive, near South Arlington Avenue and Interstate 465, on a report of a person shot.

FORTVILLE, Ind. — Police in Fortville are on the scene of a crash that left a pedestrian dead Monday night. Officers at the scene tell 13News the male victim was crossing the street in the 600 block of North Madison Street in a motorized wheelchair when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. Investigators believe the man was in the middle of the intersection of North Madison and Illinois streets when he was struck.
Indianapolis woman arrested in connection with 2023 fatal drug overdose in New Palestine
NEW PALESTINE, Ind. — An Indianapolis woman was arrested after nearly year-long investigation into a fatal drug overdose in Hancock County, police said. Stephanie Schofield, 38, was formally charged Sept. 27 with dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, obstruction of justice and false informing, according to online court records.
